Where Hope Lives

There is a spirit moving through our time. It speaks in the language of disruption— of contempt where respect once stood, of division where belonging once grew. Those who are different become strangers. Those who are vulnerable become invisible. The measure of a life is too often reduced to wealth, to beauty, to youth, to the endless pursuit of more. Meanwhile, the living earth bears the weight of our forgetting. Forests burn. Storms gather strength. The ground beneath us trembles. It is easy to wonder if compassion has become too quiet to be heard. But hope has never been the loudest voice. Hope lives in the woman who tends her aging father with unwavering devotion. Hope lives in the neighbor who prepares a meal simply because love delights in giving. Hope lives in those who plant trees whose shade they will never sit beneath. Hope lives in those who rescue abandoned animals, comfort the grieving, welcome the stranger, and choose kindness when anger would be easier. Hope lives in every heart that refuses to surrender its humanity. Perhaps that is how the world is healed. Not all at once. Not from the top down. But one compassionate heart awakening another. The winds may grow stronger. The fires may burn hotter. The world may forget itself for a season. Still... Each morning the hummingbirds return. The trees continue reaching toward the light. The earth offers another sunrise. And somewhere, someone chooses love over fear. Perhaps hope has always lived there. Wren 🐦‍⬛

A little more quiet, whenever you need it.

Stay awhile
